Wedding Peach (Japanese: 愛天使伝説ウェディングピーチ, Hepburn: Ai Tenshi Densetsu Wedingu Pīchi; lit. 'Legend of the Angel of Love: Wedding Peach') is a Japanese manga by writer Sukehiro Tomita and artist Nao Yazawa. It first ran in Shogakukan's Ciao magazine. VIZ Media released all six volumes in North America. The manga became a 51-episode anime TV series on TV Tokyo from April 5, 1995, to March 27, 1996, directed by Kunihiko Yuyama. Two omake shorts—Ai Tenshi Robot Wedding Peach and Ai Tenshi Sentai—and a four-episode OVA sequel, Wedding Peach DX, followed in 1996. In 2004, a compilation called Wedding Peach Young Love appeared in the monthly magazine Shogaku Sannensei, featuring simpler stories and younger-looking characters. Tomita released a visual novel sequel, Ai Tenshi Seiki Wedding Apple, in 2021, introducing five new love angels in a modern continuation.
The story centers on Momoko Hanasaki and her friends Yuri Tanima and Hinagiku Tamano, members of their school's newspaper club who cover the soccer team. All three have crushes on star player Kazuya Yanagiba. One day after school, a devil named Pluie, servant to the high ruler Raindevila, attacks them. Pluie hypnotizes Yuri and Hinagiku into attacking Momoko. A beautiful man named Limone descends from the angel world and gives Momoko a compact case. Inside, the goddess Aphrodite tells Momoko she is one of the legendary Love Angels, Wedding Peach. Momoko transforms and frees her friends. Over time, Yuri, Hinagiku, and later Scarlet O'Hara discover they are also love angels. Together, they must protect humans from devils and defeat Raindevila.
Momoko Hanasaki, who transforms into Wedding Peach, is the main character. She works as a photographer for the Newspaper Club at Hanazono Junior High and has a crush on soccer captain Kazuya Yanagiba. Her theme color is pink. Yuri Tanima, a polite rich girl and one of Momoko's best friends, becomes Angel Lily, with blue as her theme color. Hinagiku Tamano, a tomboy who practices judo and whose family runs a flower shop, transforms into Angel Daisy, with green as her theme color.
