Heaven's Lost Property (Japanese: そらのおとしもの, Hepburn: Sora no Otoshimono; meaning "Lost Property of the Sky" or "Misplaced by Heaven") is a manga series by Suu Minazuki. It centers on Tomoki Sakurai, a teenager who just wants a quiet life, but his plans are upended when a winged girl named Ikaros falls from the sky and declares herself his servant. The manga ran monthly in Shōnen Ace from the May 2007 issue through the March 2014 issue. Kadokawa Shoten released the first of 20 collected volumes on September 26, 2007. An anime adaptation by AIC aired in Japan in 2009, followed by a second season, a feature film, and two video games. A second film came out in Japan on April 26, 2014. Funimation (now Crunchyroll, LLC) handles the North American and Australian home video and streaming licenses.
**Plot**
Tomoki Sakurai is a perverted teenage boy who lives by the motto "Peace and quiet are the best" and often dreams of meeting an angel. His everyday life is anything but calm, thanks to Sohara Mitsuki, his next-door neighbor with a devastating karate chop; Eishiro Sugata, an eccentric pseudo-scientist obsessed with discovering a "New World"; and Mikako Satsukitane, the sadistic student council president. One night, Tomoki sees a strange anomaly in the sky, and a UMA (Unidentified Mysterious Animal) crashes nearby. He finds that what fell is a winged female humanoid named Ikaros, who comes from an unknown world called Synapse and immediately declares herself his servant. More beings called "Angeloids" soon arrive, costing Tomoki his peace but also bringing him pleasant surprises, as he fights against the forces descending on Earth.
